Interview with Starhawk on Permaculture and Urban Agriculture

June 29, 2011 MissWattson Leave a Comment

Permaculture is a sustainable agricultural model – “an approach to designing human settlements and agricultural systems that are modeled on the relationships found in natural ecologies.” Environmental and global justice activists, Starhawk and Donna Read, presented their film “Permaculture: the Growing Edge” last week at the NDG Food Depot in Montreal. Starhawk was kind enough to come on the Friday Morning After show on CKUT 90.3FM to talk about the permaculture projects described in the film (including healing Louisiana’s soil and cleaning up oil spills), the reception of the film, and the concepts and benefits of permaculture.

Download the interview here.
