The Recipes that Didn’t Make it Into “Quarantine Cooking”

Sometimes you need to know when to stop. Once Quarantine Cooking hit 50 recipes, my designer friend very gently told me it was time to reign it in. Which I did.

But that meant that a chapter on tacos got cut, along with a braised Mediterranean chicken recipe, mussels and one of my favourite, but more elaborate, banana desserts (the one-ingredient ice cream won out, appropriately).

But that means there are a couple extra gems I can offer to you here, in case you didn’t find what you were looking for in the book, or if you somehow cook your way through it before this period of social distancing ends – though we’re all hoping this ends sooner rather than later and I’d be okay if you didn’t make it to the fallen chocolate peanut butter cake by then. Besides, you can always make them later in celebration.
