Quebecois Specialties Dinner on Sept. 26th, 7pm

September 2, 2015 Leave a Comment

Quebecois specialties duck confit
I’m hosting one of my favourite dinners through Bookalokal this Sept. 26th at 7pm. Book your spot now for an intimate feast of duck confit, local cheeses and pouding chomeur. The Bookalokal idea is that you enjoy a meal at a local’s house, as though you lived in the city – tourism without feeling as much like a tourist.

Here’s the menu and here’s how to book!

On the Menu

Duck Confit served on arugula salad with toasted hazelnuts, grapes and sherry vinegar dressing
An organic Quebec cheese plate of raw, unpasteurized cow, goat and sheepsmilk cheeses, with dried Quebec cranberries and homemade preserves.

Then Quebec Pouding Chomeur: brown sugar and maple syrup pudding cake served à lamode.
We'll open a red wine made with local frontenac grapes and finish with a Quebec ice cider or hydromiel for dessert.
Beverages included but you can also BYOB.

Description

This will be a night of Quebec bistro fare: crispy skinned duck legs, an organic Quebec cheese plate with raw, unpasteurized (aka more delicious) cow, goat and sheepsmilk cheeses, dried Quebec cranberries, and homemade preserves, and end with the ultimate Quebec comfort food dessert, "poor man's pudding"—a brown sugar and maple syrup pudding cake served à la mode.
Experience Details
  • 4 – 8 Guests

For reviews of past dinners and more details, check out the listing on the Bookalokal site.
