And They’re Off! The First Day of Cocktail Invasion 2018 in Montreal and the Lucky Lucano from Bar George

May 14, 2018 MissWattson Leave a Comment

lucky lucano-bar george-cocktail invasion-montreal-2018Montreal’s cocktail week is finally upon us. Until May 20th, you can get discounted cocktails at a ton of places in the city. Download your free online passport on the Cocktail Invasion website and hit the bars.* And if you read my descriptions of the special cocktails at Huis Clos, 132 Bar Vintage and Le Royal, you already have some good ideas for places to start. Here’s another one:

The Lucky Lucano from Bar George
The swanky setting of this circular bar on Drummond Street is the perfect spot to sip this sour. The bittersweetness from the Amaro combines is complemented by lemon juice and the spice-infused syrup. The creaminess of egg white and a little cocoa umami are the icing on the cake.

Ingredients:
Amaro Lucano
rum
lemon
spice syrup
egg white
cocoa powder

Mixologists: DRAHOMIR CHYTRY, KARIM TEROUZ, MAXIME BOIVIN, FLORIAN WAROUX, GENEVIÈVE CÔTÉ, ARIELLE ÉMOND, ARNAUD LEDUC ET RAIN NOAKES. Yes, sometimes it takes 8 mixologists to create a masterpiece.

*Then be responsible and take a cab home, please.
