Eat.Meet. Vegan Mixer Takes Over Santropol Roulant July 19th

montreal-vegan-rejects-eat-meetTake a rooftop garden terrasse, sweet and savoury vegan catering, live music, prizes, and a whole bunch of foodies interested in conscious eating, health, organics, vegetarianism and/or veganism and you’ve got yourself a cool summer party.

On Saturday, July 19th all are welcome (vegan or not) to the 2nd annual Eat.Meet. This year it’s taking the form of a 5 à 9 party on community organization Santropol Roulant‘s gorgeous rooftop garden where you can shmooze and snack to your heart’s content. And if you don’t want the night to end so early, there’s an official after-party at Propulsion from 9pm-3am.

July 19th might seem like an age away, but early bird tickets to the event ($20 instead of $25) are only on sale until July 1st.

And $20 is a steal on the catering goods of vegan chef Chef Kali Mackell and vegan patisserie Sophie Sucrée. The menu’s not set yet but organizer Michaela Johnson mentioned something about vegan cupcakes…sophie-sucree-chantaltrudelphotographe“I think it is important to meet and socialize with like-minded people in a fun and casual environment. It’s important to create a space where people can connect and be part of a community,” says Johnson.

I did mention prizes, right? Last year’s included two $25 gift certificates from Aux Vivres, a $30 gift certificate from La Tasse Gamine, $20 from Propulsion Cantine Vegetalienne, a vegan cake from Sophie Sucrée, an unknown amount gift certificate from Salon Identité, and coffee and tea samples in the gift bags for all from Organo Gold. This year? You can expect more of the same, plus a brand new Juice Xtra juicer designed by Georges Laraque.
For more info, there’s a Facebook event page and another for the after-party at Propulsion Cantina Vegetalienne. And check out the Meetup page for more events organized by Michaela and the Montreal Vegan Rejects, including picnics and dinner parties.
