Slow Food Montreal: Interview with Bobby Gregoire

March 18, 2011 MissWattson Leave a Comment

This morning on radio CKUT 90.3FM I interviewed Bobby Gregoire of Slow Food Montreal. The organization is not trying to get everyone to have a pot of tomato sauce sitting on the stove all day – an image I associate with long cooking times and food appreciation – rather it organizes monthly events bringing together producers, consumers and all the other players in the Montreal food scene. Does that seem like a vague description to you? It does to me too, which is why I had to have a chat with Bobby about the kinds of events Slow Food Montreal puts on and if the movement is more about food enjoyment or food politics. Turns out it’s a bit of both.
